“Than Family – One Family”

Kind attention to: All members of Than Family

Than Family at An Lo organizes the ancestor rituals at the family’s house of worship located at An Lo Hamlet, Phong Hien Commune, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province every six years.

Five centuries ago, Hon. Than Dai Lang founded the cause of our family by Bo River. From here, his descendants moved to Cu Chanh, Nguyet Bieu, Thanh Tien, Duong Xuan, etc and created a bigger community. Afterwards, the family moves to reside in different places all over the country and in the world. The rituals are a chance for Than Family’s members to come back to the fatherland, thurify the ancestors and pray for the prosperity and peace of the family. This is also an opportunity for us to visit and talk with each other.

The rituals will be organized in 3 days, from October 8-10, year of cow (lunar calendar) falling on August 17-29, 2009 (solar calendar).

Due to the family’s difficult financial condition, the Organization Board of Ancestor Rituals in 2009 would like to appeal the wholehearted financial support from all members of the family so that we can organize a formal and solemn ceremony which can show the high status of our family.
